• Surveillance

Effective mosquito abatement begins with sound population monitoring and rigorous disease testing. We trap live mosquitoes, identify species, and perform PCR testing for diseases such as West Nile Virus.

  • Larval Control

Standing water throughout the county is checked regularly for mosquito larva and treated with targeted biological larvicides such as spinosad and baccillus thurengensis. These control mosquito larva without harming any other organisms in the habitat.

  • Adult Control

In response to disease outbreak, high adult mosquito populations, resident complaints, and other action thresholds. Ultra Low Volume (ULV) treatments are performed at dusk and into the evening when mosquitoes are most active and the risk to beneficial insects such as bees is low.
